Perming, perming is one of the basic methods of beautifying hairstyles, divided into physical perming and chemical perming. Chemical perming is the most used now. The purpose of perming actually has two aspects: to make the hair richer (with a curly effect); to change the shape and direction of the hair (the effect of the curl is not very large). The basic process of perming is divided into two steps. The first step is to break the disulfide bonds and hydrogen bonds in the hair through a chemical reaction; the second step is to restructure and stabilize the hair core structure.
Perming, perming is one of the basic methods of beautifying hairstyles, divided into physical perming and chemical perming, the most commonly used now is chemical perming.
The purpose of perming actually has two aspects: to make the hair fuller (with a curly effect); to change the shape and direction of the hair (the curl is not a very large effect). The basic process of perming is divided into two steps: the first step is to break the disulfide bonds and hydrogen bonds in the hair through a chemical reaction; the second step is to restructure and stabilize the hair core structure.
When perming, the hair cannot withstand a flowing heat temperature above 80℃, and the flowing temperature during blow-drying cannot exceed 120℃. Because exceeding the temperature will cause the fibrous keratin that makes up the hair to denature, causing the hair strands to swell and break, the scales to fall off, resulting in discoloration, breakage, reduced elasticity, and loss of luster. Damaged hair should not be frequently dyed or permed.
Development History
In daily life, hair is regarded as an ornament. Since time immemorial, people have been looking for ways to curl their hair. The development of perming and perming tools is closely related, and it can be said that the development of perming tools has driven the development of perming.
By the 1990s, South Korea invented ceramic perming, which was then introduced to Japan, then from Japan to Taiwan, and finally to mainland China. This was a rather lengthy process, and ceramic perming remained popular until the early 21st century.
